Don't Make My Mistake is a public archive of real mistakes and lessons, operated by Francisco Müller Sánchez.

Reading the archive is free and requires no account. Publishing requires an account and a one-off €5 payment per mistake.

Sign-in works by emailing you a one-time link. Keep access to your inbox secure — anyone with it can sign in as you.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Only your own real experience, written by you.

No personal data about other identifiable people, no names, no photos, no contact details of third parties.

No hate speech, harassment, threats, promotion of self-harm, scams or illegal content.

No advertising, affiliate links or promotion disguised as a lesson.

You keep ownership of what you write. By publishing you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, translate and distribute it as part of the archive, including in excerpts and social previews.

Submissions may be reviewed automatically and by a human before or after publication.

We may edit for clarity, unpublish or remove content that breaks these rules, and close accounts that repeatedly do so.

Publishing costs €5 per mistake, taken through our payment provider. Prices include any applicable taxes.

By asking us to publish immediately you consent to the service starting right away and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once the mistake is published.

If your mistake is rejected in moderation and never published, write to us and we will refund the €5.

If a payment succeeds but nothing gets published because of a technical failure on our side, we refund it.

You can delete unpublished submissions at any time from your profile.

Published mistakes stay in the archive; if you delete your account they are anonymised and detached from you. If a published mistake must be removed entirely — for example because it exposes you — contact us and we will assess it.

Everything in the archive is personal experience shared by individuals. It is not legal, medical, financial or professional advice, and we do not verify it. Use your own judgement.

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from your use of the archive. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date.

These terms are governed by the law of España, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
